“Louise ran a workshop for our Health & Wellbeing Team around the theme of grief, bereavement and anticipatory grief. Our small team supports a lot of people living with dementia and their relatives and carers and also people experiencing mental health issues. Many of the staff and volunteers within the group have been, or are, in a caring role and understandably our work, although extremely valuable and rewarding, can also be very emotionally draining. We wanted to create a better culture of care within our team and ensuring that we look after ourselves while we support others.

We knew it would be an emotive subject for us all, but Louise created a really warm & calm environment for the session, where everyone felt able to share their thoughts and experiences with others. It was such a valuable session for us all, and one which we’ve continued to draw upon as we continue to develop our health and wellbeing programmes here.” — Michelle
